Kia EV3 wins 2025 World Car of the Year award

The Kia EV3 has just won the 2025 World Car of the Year award! This amazing achievement was announced at the New York International Auto Show on April 16, 2025

The Kia EV3 beat out two other strong contenders – the BMW X3 and the Hyundai Inster / Casper Electric – to claim the top spot

What's even more exciting is that this is the third time a Kia vehicle has won this prestigious award, after the Kia Telluride (2020) and the Kia EV9 (2024)

The Hyundai Inster / Casper Electric bagged the 2025 World Electric Vehicle of the Year award, while the Porsche 911 Carrera GTS took home the World Performance Car of the Year title

Volvo’s EX90 earned the 2025 World Luxury Car of the Year, and the Volkswagen ID

Buzz won the World Car Design of the Year

As for the World Car Person of the Year, that honor went to Stella Li, executive VP of BYD

Other contenders included big names like Ralph Gilles (Stellantis) and Simon Humphries (Toyota)
